Available Grace
It might be easy to feel God’s presence on Sunday morning when you are surrounded by fellow worshipers and they music lifts your spirit and the spoken Word touches your heart. But what happens by midweek? How do you experience God’s grace throughout the week, in the middle of frustration, conflict, and turmoil?
I am preaching a sermon series throughout the summer entitled, “Everyday Spirituality: A journey of grace” and I am sharing practical ways that you can find grace even in the middle of your deepest and darkest valley of frustration. Last week I talked about turning curse into blessing and I was the one blessed by your response. Wow, you shared throughout the week about how the sermon seemed to be preached just for you. Now I would like you to have a part in the sermons of the future.
I would like for you to share some of the techniques you have used over the years that cultivate an awareness of God’s presence. How do you find God’s grace in the middle of your busy lives? What are some of the ways that you stay mindful of God’s extraordinary blessings in the landscape of ordinary life?
You can share your ideas by commenting on this blog in the space provided below or you can email me at pastor@vanfumc.org I would also like to hear any questions that you might want me to address during this series of being shaped by grace.
Thank you in advance.
Grace happens!
