Stitch Sisters

Join us for an evening of handwork in hidden Chapel on the fourth Tuesday of each month at 6:30pm. Knit, purl, crochet or stitch on your favorite project or one of our service projects. Need expert advice, patterns, or even beginner instruction? We are happy to help you learn a new needle-art. Stitch Sisters make baby hats, prayer shawls and many other projects.

Senior Luncheon

Hot soup on a cold winter day! Remember how great that tasted? Your chance is coming again on Friday, February 3. This month’s senior luncheon, held in Jason Lee Hall, beginning at 12:30pm, will offer hot soup, bread sticks and cool cake for dessert. After lunch, we will hear from Kathy Slamp, a professional naturalist who works the cruise liners going to Alaska. Kathy will bring a pictorial program describing the beauty, history and animal life of the last frontier to the north. Pinochle Potluck

Pincohle will be hosted this month at the home of Ed and Jill Durgin on Saturday, February 11. The potluck dinner begins at 6:30pm, with cards to follow. All are welcome. If you don’t know how to play but would like to learn, come join us. We’re very informal and always share great fellowship. Scout Sunday

Troop 525 is planning to help us celebrate Scout Sunday on February 12. As a thank you to our members, they will be serving a pancake breakfast in Jason Lee Hall from 9:30-11:00am. Our scouts are invited to wear their uniforms as we celebrate Scout Sunday.

Quilting Fellowship

In 2011, over 100 baby quilts were blessed for our “Babies at Risk” program. These quilts were distributed all over Clark County. Now it’s time to begin anew making more quilts. On the fourth Wednesday of each month, we get together to make quilt kits that can be taken home and sewn. Everyone is welcome to come and help cut and assemble the kits. As the year progresses, we will also have finished quilts that need to be tied. We meet in Room 8/9 from 9:30am-noon. Join us for this time of fun, fellowship and service!
