UMW is a group of women organized for mission. We are women like you . . . women of diverse ethnic and socioeconomic backgrounds; employed, not employed; homemakers; businesswomen; single, married, divorced, young, middle-aged, and older women. We are women committed to mission. The giving of the United Methodist Women touches the lives of many persons around the world.
We invite you to be a member of United Methodist Women of Vancouver First. No matter who you are or where you are in your life at this moment, joining this group of committed women is a unique opportunity to move in harmony with other women who have been responding to God’s work. We have several fundraisers during the year to support our mission pledge and local needs.
Our unit consists of three circles and the Executive Board. Each circle meets once a month (see below for meeting times). Contact the church office for locations or additional meeting information.
You can read more about the UMW on the United Methodist General Board of Global Ministries website.

Woman of the Year Tea
“I Am Woman” is the theme for this year’s Woman of the Year Tea, held in Jason Lee Hall on Saturday, June 22, at 1:00pm. Invite your daughters, sisters, and granddaughters. All who attend are asked to bring their favorite hat. We will have a “Hat Fashion Show” and we will help honor this year’s Woman of the Year. Our Woman of the Year is a one who has done and participated in projects and ministries to health and welfare of women and children. Come join in the Fun!
Quilting Fellowship
In 2012, over 100 baby quilts were blessed for our “Babies at Risk” program. These quilts were distributed all over Clark County. Now it’s time to begin anew making more quilts. On the fourth Wednesday of each month, we get together to make quilt kits that can be taken home and sewn. Everyone is welcome to come and help cut and assemble the kits. As the year progresses, we will also have finished quilts that need to be tied. We meet in Room 8/9 from 9:30am-noon. Join us for this time of fun, fellowship and service!
