So Much Happening at VanFUMC!

We've got a short news week, but still plenty to keep up with!

A Few Reminders From The Office:

- When sending checks for 2025 Pledges or donations, please note your designation on your check whenever possible. A simple "Pledge" or "Donation to ____" will help us keep more accurate and organized records of your giving.

- Hey! Speaking of giving, did you know you can now Give through text? Just text "Give" to (360) 548-7300 to get started! We've also got the website set up for online giving! You can go to https://vancouverfirstunitedmethodistchurch.breezechms.com/give/online to donate.

- Our new website is live! Discover upcoming events, newsletters, group info, and more. Tabby is also working on the Church App, launching soon with features like giving, a prayer wall, and a news feed. Thanks for your patience as we finalize the website and these resources. Stay tuned for updates!

- Tabby is always happy to lend a hand in advertising your group's events and activities in the weekly publications. The deadline for already completed items is Wednesday at 10am in order to make it into the newsletter and bulletin for that week. If Tabby is creating the graphics, please provide that information no later than Monday at 10am to allow time for design work to be completed.

- Office Angels help needed! We're needing a "regular" to come help in the office, and some office angels for specific dates as well. If you are interested in assisting in the office here and there, please reach out to discuss those dates further.

Charge Conference & Church Council Meeting

All are welcome to attend - Thursday, May 29, 2025

Thursday, May 29th, the Church Council will be meeting at 6:30pm

One Item of business for this meeting will be a special "Charge Conference" so that the church may address setting a housing allowance for our new pastor, Eilidh Lowery.

The Bishop has announced his intention to appoint Rev. Eilidh Lowery effective on July 1, 2025. Eilidh's first Sunday with us will be on Sunday, July 13.

All are welcome to attend this meeting. Members of the Charge Conference will have a vote regarding the housing allowance.

Town Hall #2

Sunday, June 22, 2025

Next Town Hall is June 22nd with Patrick Lemmon. We will be talking about several areas that came from the survey we did last summer. One area we will focus on is Church Membership. How do we grow, nurture and welcome members? What do we offer that will attract people to come?

This will be a Potluck (Yay to Potlucks!) Details will be coming soon. We look forward to seeing you there!

Join us!

Little Acorns Preschool is hosting it's annual Wheels & Wonders event in the church parking lot. Stop by to see some big trucks, visit with community partners, and learn about local community resources. Free event, open to the public.
