Thoughts from Pastor Eilidh
Sometimes it feels like life just won't stop moving. This morning I did a funeral for a woman who was involved in our church in the 1990's and on Monday I am doing a graveside for a woman who died suddenly last week and happened to be the aunt of a dear friend. We have Jeff's brother and our niece in town this week so I'm doing a lot of hosting. This week we welcomed Sarah to staff, moved the finance office, dealt with having no power on Monday, and started planning this fall in earnest. I also started work on the Scotland trip for October 2027. There is so much good stuff in life and sometimes I feel like I can hardly keep up. Which is why it is important to take time away from time to time. Next week we are headed to Indiana to celebrate the 50th birthday of a long time friend. Then in September I'm bound for Tennessee for another 50th birthday trip for one of the women I met through my Princeton Cohort last year. Balance is such an important part of ministry and living. I am grateful for this intense season of work and family and grateful for the time ahead for rest and celebration. Blessings, Pastor Eilidh |
