Get Connected!

Have you checked out our new website?  Earlier this spring we launched a whole new look. It's a great place to find events, information, our worship services online, make an offering, and more! Tabby, our office administrator, is the curator of the website, so if you notice anything that needs attention or are having a hard time, please email her and let her know.
Already, a couple of things have cropped up that needed a quick clerical fix. Thank you to everyone who caught those and helped us to make our website better! This goes for the bulletin and other things, too! Trust me, we want to know when there is a misspelling or incorrect detail, or if something just isn't working for you.
On the flip side, we also love to hear what you love! If you notice something particularly good, pass that along, too. It helps make us better at communicating and design when we know what is actually working for our community.
This fall, Tabby and I will be working on a strategic plan for communications and rethinking our weekly emails, newsletter, and more. We so appreciate all that is happening in our church and want to make sure everyone feels connected and able to serve and engage as you are called.

Blessings,
Pastor Eilidh
Congratulations Andrew & Samantha!!

Congratulations Andrew & Samantha!!

September 14th after worship!

We are celebrating the birth of a baby boy for Samantha and Andrew.
Come meet the little one and celebrate this new addition to our community.
If you would like to bring a quick and easy recipe or crockpot meal idea that would be a great help for the new mama.
There is a registry if you are interested in gifting. That can be found here using Andrew & Sam's Baby Registry Link
Diapers size 1 and up or clothes sizes 6-9 months are also great ideas to support the little family.

Summer is Wrapping Up For YD

As we step into August, we’re mindful of how quickly the summer season passes—filled with sunshine, family time, and slower rhythms that allow space for rest and renewal. We hope these past weeks have brought joy and meaningful moments to your family.

With the new school year just around the corner, we’re beginning to shift our hearts and minds toward new routines, fresh opportunities for growth, and another season of walking with your children in faith. Sunday School will continue to be a place where they are known, loved, and guided in God’s truth—and we’re excited for all that’s ahead.

In September, we will dive back into our Grow curriculum with exciting new monthly series and our Bible Bucks rewards system. This year, as our kids continue to grow in both age and understanding, we’re introducing something special: each Sunday, we’ll be participating in service in some capacity.  From Communion, to tithes and offerings, to other meaningful expressions of worship Pastor and I create together, your children will have the chance to live out their faith in new and hands-on ways. We want them to not only observe church — but be the church. Future Parent emails will detail what parents can expect each Sunday.

Here’s what’s coming up in our ministry . . .

Aug 3rd - Communion Sunday
On the first Sunday of every month, the children will join you in service for communion. Children will stay with their parents for the remainder of the service. It’s a wonderful opportunity for families to participate together in this meaningful tradition!

Aug 10th & Aug 31st - Birthday Celebrations

We’ll be celebrating two special birthdays in our Young Disciples class!  To make the days sweet, we’ll have cupcakes and sparkling cider together as a class and celebrate these two amazing disciples. We hope to see your kiddos there to join in the celebration!

Aug 31st - Humble Servants Sunday!

On the last Sunday of this month, our Young Disciples serve as Humble Servants by helping collect Tithes and Offerings during the worship service. It’s a wonderful way to finish the month in the spirit of giving and community!

Sept 7th - Save The Date: Kickoff Sunday!

The Church will be sharing more details soon, but for now—go ahead and mark the date on your calendars!

August Sunday School – Summer of Faith, Fun, & Friendship!

We’ll continue meeting in the Youth Room in August.

Snacks – Servant Leaders will continue providing snacks for the kids each Sunday.

SuperBook Episodes – Each week, we’ll be watching a 30-minute episode from SuperBook based on past lessons they've learned in our Grow series.  It’s a wonderful tool for reinforcing Biblical truths in a format kids love!

Pop Quizzes – Repetition is key at this age, and we believe reviewing lessons in a playful way helps the truth of God’s Word sink in deeper.

Games & Social Time – We’ll also enjoy games that encourage socialization, teamwork, and strong Christian friendships. These moments of fellowship are just as important as the lessons themselves as they help build a supportive and loving community among the children.

This whimsical, imaginative book reminds us that sometimes being like a kid makes us better grownups.

Summer Choir Announcement!

If you've been thinking about checking out the choir, come join the group Sunday morning on August 17th! It's a low commitment way to get to know some of the musicians in our congregation and see if choir is something you are interested in. We will all be learning a new song at 8:30am together and we will perform it during service that morning.

We can't wait to have you with us to raise your voice in song!

August Climate Change Action Plan

August Climate Change Action Plan

Conserving Water

Week 1

  • Turn off the faucet while your brushing teeth – a running tap can waste over 1 1/2 gallons per minute.

  • Use the leftover water to feed houseplants.

  • Use a full load in the dishwasher and washing machine.

  • Wash fruits and vegetables in a bowl rather than under a running tap.

 Week 2

  • Take short showers instead of baths. A four-minute shower uses 20 to 40 gallons of water.

  • Fix dripping toilets, pipes, and faucets. A dripping faucet can waste thousands of gallons of water in a year.

  • When washing dishes by hand, don’t leave the water running for rinsing.

  • Use a watering can or a hose with a trigger nozzle instead of a sprinkler to water the yard.

Week 3

  • Keep a reusable container of drinking water in the refrigerator.

  • Install water efficient low flow shower heads.

  • Recycle grey water for garden use.

  • Position sprinklers so water lands on lawn or garden and not on paved areas.

  • Use a bucket and sponge when washing the car rather than a running hose.

 Week 4

  • Landscape your yard with drought resistant native plants.

  • Mulch plants and trees in your yard.

  • Purchase water-efficient appliances, such as low-flush toilets and front-loading washers.

  • Insulate your water pipes with pre-slit pipe insulation.

  • Don’t overwater your lawn; most lawns only need about 1”inch of water each week.
